GOALIE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Objective: To recruit, retain and develop goalies in the Saskatoon Ringette Association (SRA)

Guiding principles of the GDS:

  • Utilize the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model to guide goalie development
  • Implement supports that are appropriate to the athlete’s stage of development (division)
  • Recognize that athletes, parents and coaches play important roles and require different supports
  • Ensure supports are cost-effective and affordable for SRA
